MaxLinear AnyWAN URX850, URX851, and MxL25641 Intel Atom SoCs target broadband routers and gateways

MaxLinear has simply introduced the supply of the primary three AnyWAN broadband SoCs that includes Intel Atom cores with the MxL25641, URX850, and URX851 processors designed for fiveGbps and 10 Gbps broadband routers and gateways, often known as CPEs (buyer premise tools).
When I first learn the information of MaxLinear releasing Intel Atom SoCs, I couldn’t fairly compute the way it was potential, as I can’t keep in mind any third-party releasing Intel processors and I assumed it is perhaps a system-in-package as an alternative. But MaxLinear retains calling these Intel Atom SoCs, and the reason being that the corporate acquired Intel’s Home Gateway Platform Division in 2020.
MaxLinear AnyWAN x86 SoCs key options and specs:

The MxL25641 doesn’t have any native Ethernet interfaces, so I assume PCIe and HSIO can be utilized for that objective as an alternative. MaxLinear explains the Atom SoCs can be utilized for all types of WAN connectivity together with Fiber, Copper (e.g. xDSL), Cable (DOCSIS), 5G FWA, in addition to 10Gbps and 5Gbps Ethernet. In the native community/buyer premise, the router or gateway might present Wi-Fi 6/6E, Wi-Fi 7, native 2.5GbE or/and 10GbE, MoCA, and/or G.hn (house networking as much as 2 Gbps), in addition to Voice FXS for VoIP telephony.
The firm may also present the AnyWAN Hardware Development Kit URX851 and AnyWAN Hardware Development Kit MxL25641 for earlier improvement, and the options can run Yocto-based prplOS (previously referred to as prplWRT) and RDK-B, or MaxLinear UGW (Universal Gateway Software) primarily based on OpenWrt. Since the AnyWAN processors are principally designed for OEM and ODM producers, there’s little or no data obtainable publicly.

Just a few extra particulars could also be discovered on the product page and press launch.
